About

Chris graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2012 and undertook a 2 year rotating hospital internship at Newmarket Equine Hospital. Following completion of this internship Chris joined an equine practice in West Sussex as an ambulatory practitioner working with racehorses and sport horses. Chris completed an ECVS surgical residency from 2017 to 2020 in a large private practice and completed a certificate in Equine Soft Tissue Surgery and Equine Orthopaedic Surgery. Chris worked at the Hambleton Equine Clinic before starting at the PLEH in January 2021 and becoming a Senior Lecturer in Equine Surgery in 2023.

Chris has a broad range of surgical and research interests, with previous publications in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Chris’s main areas of interest are upper respiratory surgery, fracture fixation and abdominal surgery. Chris has presented his research at international and national conferences and enjoys sharing his ideas.

Outside of work Chris is an avid rock climber and mountaineer.
