Research

My research focuses on inclusive people strategies in organizational and entrepreneurial contexts. I study how organizations and entrepreneurs employ human capital to meet their goals and under which conditions it may lead to social exclusion. I believe that an inclusive approach to people strategy is essential for building better, more sustainable organizations.

Some key questions I explore include:
1. How do organizations handle employee mobility across firms, and how does this affect competitiveness and inclusivity?
2. What causes social exclusion in hiring, internal career paths, and retention practices?
3. What are the strategic and social implications of pay inequality within organizations?
4. What are the risks and benefits of intrapreneurship to firms' overall human capital strategy?

My past and ongoing research have drawn on both historical and contemporary labour market data from Sweden, the Netherlands, India and the United States to pursue these questions.
