Teaching
I currently lead two employability modules for the School of psychology.
A work placement module which enables students to gain experience of working in their chosen field during the summer recess between years two and three. This module helps students gain key transferable skills which increase their employability and strengthen the chances of pursuing their career aspirations in a particular field.
A business and enterprise module ( in collaboration with young enterprise) which enables students to develop and start their own small business bringing together entrepreneurship and social purpose through psychological concepts.
In addition to this I worked extensively with qualitative research and teaching this to a range of students across degree and masters programs.
I play an active part in supporting quantitative research through teaching research methods and statistics.
Linked to my work on student well-being, I have developed and run resilience workshops for students in psychology encompassing typical areas of stress such as presentations, examinations and statistics.
