Professional Activities
I am enthusiastic about using my visual research outputs (videos, animations, digital models, sketches) to make science exciting, engaging, and accessible to everyone. I lead public engagement and widening participation activities for students (Community Science Project) and families (Meet the Scientist at the World Museum in Liverpool. And I have given invited talks on my work for undergraduate and public audiences at the Canadian Museum of Nature, Bangor University, Manchester Metropolitan University.
I am a peer reviewer for scientific journals and international funding agencies, e.g., US National Science Foundation. I led an international symposium and am a member of the Biomechanics Organising Committee for the Society of Experimental Biology.
