Dr Antoinette Huber joined the University of Liverpool in 2023 as a Lecturer in Criminology.
In 2015 she completed a MPhil in Criminological Research at the University of Cambridge and was awarded a PhD(GTA) scholarship at Liverpool John Moores University. She completed her PhD in 2020 which examined the impact of image-based sexual abuse on women and their experiences in the criminal justice system.
She is passionate about research creating real world impact and therefore often works with third sector and government organisations to generate knowledge, policy, and best practice. She has worked closely with domestic violence organisations, Victims of Internet Crime (VOIC), the Revenge Porn Helpline, and UK and EU commissions. Antoinette is currently undertaking research projects which explore online sexual violence and misogyny. She has published journal articles, edited books, book chapters, and reports for third sector and government organisations.
Antoinette has made substantial contributions to the development of criminology programmes across a number of UK universities and has previously held posts at Liverpool John Moores University, the University of Chester, and Liverpool Hope University.
