About
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist with 15 years of clinical experience in the NHS, working latterly in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. I have been a lecturer at Coventry University and now at University of Liverpool, and I enjoy teaching both undergraduate and Masters physiotherapy students. I have been a supervisor for three PhD students, researching in occupational health of older workers with musculo-skeletal conditions, interventions for people in persistent disorders of consciousness, and use of botulinum toxin for spasticity. I have a wide range of research interests, including the phenomenon of published illness narratives, and the perspectives of people who experience injury or illness.
I am open to working collaboratively on projects. Feel free to email me at andrew.king2@liverpool.ac.uk
