Teaching
In addition to my research, I am deeply committed to teaching and mentoring the next generation of scientists.
In my teaching and supervision I emphasise clear presentation, precise writing, and ethical academic conduct, aiming to nurture a work ethic that values both excellence and integrity. Through mentorship, I strive to foster critical thinking, creativity, and independence in my students.
I’m always open to hearing from motivated students with strong ideas and curiosity. However, I receive many informal messages, so I kindly ask that all serious enquiries about PhD opportunities contact me via email at ansantam@liverpool.ac.uk with:
- Your CV
- A short description of your research interests
- Any early thoughts on what kind of project you’d like to develop
- Why you think we might be a good fit
I currently have no guaranteed funding for PhD positions. Any potential project would need to align with available funding calls, your profile, and strategic fit. I expect students to be proactive, independent thinkers who can work in an open, respectful, and collaborative environment. I do not respond to PhD requests sent via social media.
