Professional Activities
Alison has been an active volunteer member of the Royal Society of Chemistry since 2017, when she joined the RSC Liverpool Local Section and took up the role of Member Events Co-ordinator. More recently, she has become a member of the RSC Early Career Network and was involved in the local organising committee for the 5th RSC Early Career Symposium held in 2018 in Liverpool. She also attended the European Young Chemists Network (EYCN) Delegate Assembly in Bremen as a representative of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Alison has also been elected onto the committee of the RSC Formulation Science and Technology Group.
Alison is also a STEM ambassador and has undertaken various activities to encourage more public interest in science, such as science demonstrations and hands-on activities, Chemistry Busking, Shots of Science at a local Pint of Science event and career talks.
