Research
I am interested in the effectiveness of the hepatitis B vaccine in African populations, the opportunity to implement additional measures to prevent mother to child transmission. My research tackles ways to reduce the disease burden through provision of effective and timely antiviral treatment for hepatitis B, where there is currently a huge unmet need.
I am a founder member of the HEPSANET group (Hepatitis B in Africa Collaborative Research Network). Details of the network can be found here: www.hepsanet.org.
