The Society for Academic Primary Care

The Society of Academic Primary Care (SAPC) North annual conference brings together academic and medical educators from across the North of England to share research and innovative educational practice in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Date: Wednesday 20th November - 9:15am - 4.30pm

Venue: Liverpool Guild of Students Conference Centre, 160 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5TR

Price: £70 for academics/researchers and £30 for students per delegate.

Theme

Themes of primary care mental health and patient participation will be explored through guest speakers, workshops, presentations and lightening talks to stimulate discussion and sharing of good practice.

Conference Schedule

  • Registration and refreshments are from 9:15, with the conference starting at 9:45.
  • The morning will begin with a plenary, followed by oral presentations, workshops and poster presentations.
  • After lunch, at 13:40, the afternoon will contain further presentations and workshops followed by a second plenary.
  • Following the second plenary, at 16:30, there will be the opportunity to participate in a Schwartz Round (PDF).

  • Prof Sophie Park, Professor of Primary Care and Clinical Education in the Nuffield Dept. of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford.
  • Prof Anthony Kendrick, BSc MB BS MD FRCGP FRCPsych (hon) FHEA Professor of Primary Care, Dept. of Primary Care, Population Sciences & Medical Education at the University of Southampton.

The conference is taking place at the Liverpool Guild of Students Conference Centre, 160 Mount Pleasant, Liverpool, L3 5TR

The Conference centre is located on the corner of Mount Pleasant and Brownlow Hill, opposite the Victoria Museum and Gallery, and is a 15 minute walk from Lime Street Station.
