Places visited: LaLiga Headquarters, Real Federación Española de Fútbol Headquarters and Santiago Bernabéu Stadium
Now more than halfway through the international study trip, day four turned to leagues and federations.
The first host for the day was LaLiga and the FIMBA group gratefully heard from Pedro P. Marin and Marta Aparicio Barcones who presented on LaLiga's operations and the league's approach to digital marketing. Key takeaways from their digital strategy included:
- Develop new audiences through digital platforms
- Generate the most relevant and engaging content and products for each audience per market
- Help LaLiga’s partners to achieve their business goals.
The afternoon was rather special for all FIMBA students as the group heard from 2015 FIMBA alum Jorge Mowinckel Sagnier, Director of Strategy and International Relations at Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF). Jorge gave a masterclass in strategic development, taking the students through the strategic plan of the Federation and the processes involved in its development and its implementation. Afterwards, the students were treated to a tour of the Federation's museum.
The day concluded with the group attending a EuroLeague basketball game between Real Madrid and Panathinaikos; which ended 83-68 to Real Madrid.
