The Centre for Sustainable Business hosted its first in-person summer conference on Wednesday 28 June 2023.

Hosted by Professor Joanne Meehan, the Centre’s Director, the one-day interactive conference brought together the latest research evidence from the Centre for Sustainable Business, with the practical experience from business leaders on the potential of a 'purpose-led' organisation model for addressing sustainability challenges successfully and realistically.

The Centre for Sustainable Business recently hosted a one-day symposium ‘Advancing Sustainable Business in Uncertain Times: Strategy for Effective Decision Making’ at the Management School on Wednesday 14 June 2023.

The hybrid event was a collaboration between the University of Liverpool’s Centre for Sustainable Business and the Institute for Risk and Uncertainty and focused on the latest research evidence from expert researchers on how businesses can tackle risk and uncertainty while successfully achieving their sustainability goals.

As part of Sustainability Week the Management School’s Centre for Sustainable Business, together with the Circular Economy Club and colleagues from the University’s Sustainability Team, hosted a Circular Economy event at the Victoria Gallery & Museum.

The event was attended by guests from across the Liverpool City Region from public- and third-sector organisations as well as local businesses.

Informative and insightful presentations were given by Grace Harrison from Kitty’s Laundrette, Sam Marine from Groundwork, Rebecca Haynes-McCoy from Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority and Leon Rossiter from Peepl.
