Professor Tolga Bektas
Associate Dean International
As the Associate Dean International, Tolga leads the development and implementation of the School’s international engagement strategy, working alongside our Dean, Professor Julia Balogun, to further the School’s global reach, impact and reputation.
From a students' perspective, Tolga's activity focuses on building of educational partnerships that enhance the learning and personal experiences of our UK and international students and alumni, providing opportunities to study abroad in prestigious institutions that align with our founding principles and values.
In terms of research, Tolga's work involves nurturing relationships with world-class academic institutions to facilitate funding and bring together researchers from different parts of the world, as part of impact projects that provide solutions to contemporary challenges in business and society.
Dr Ahmed Al-Abdin
Deputy Associate Dean International
As the Deputy Associate Dean International, Ahmed's role focuses on the development of educational partnerships that enhance the experience of our international students in the UK and overseas.
This involves several aspects of international partner development, including promoting and expanding student exchange relationships via Global Opportunities (formerly study abroad), overseeing programme matches between the Management School and our partners and acting as a strategic lead for the School and the University's partner campus in Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU).

Director of International Partnerships
As Director of International Partnerships, Liz is responsible for identifying opportunities for developing education programmes with appropriate international partners, as well as developing and maintaining those relationships.
Liz's work also involves overseeing academic standards with global partners to ensure good practice in international quality assurance standards.
Aimee Neill
Global Opportunities Officer
As Global Opportunities Officer for the Management School, Aimee is responsible for the administration and development of the Management School’s outbound Global Opportunities which offers four programmes: Semester Abroad, Year Abroad, Year in China and Summer Schools. She is also the primary point of contact within the School for inbound Global Opportunities students.
A key part of Aimee's role includes providing support to the Deputy Associate Dean International with the development of new and existing student exchange partnerships.
Kelly-Ann Hughes
International Recruitment and Relations Officer
As International Recruitment and Relations Officer, Kelly-Ann's role is to help further establish international partnerships and build on existing partner relations which lead to student intake (eg Kaplan, University of Liverpool International College, XJTLU).
Kelly-Ann also works closely with the University's International Relations Team to find new articulation agreements for the Management School.
