About
I joined the University of Liverpool in 2013, and manage a research programme focusing on the epidemiology of zoonotic and emerging diseases. My group has a primary focus of work in East Africa, and we are hosted at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Kenya, where I hold a joint appointment. ILRI has developed in to an important collaborative partner for Liverpool and support the management of that relationship and the many projects that operate within it. I am also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Liverpool.
Through my Joint Appointment at ILRI, I lead, manage or contribute to several projects that have more direct development and impact relevance than 'pure' research projects that are operated through the University of Liverpool. These include large scale surveillance implementation programmes and capacity development activities funded by development donors. The outputs of all of my work, no matter the donor, is available on the 'publications' tab.
If you are interested in PhD or Fellowship opportunities, across the range of my team's work, please get in touch.
