About

I am a clinical researcher with a focus on viral hepatitis and HIV in Africa. I worked in Blantyre, Malawi at the Malawi-Liverpool-Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Programme between 2017-2019 as part of a Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Fellowship, studying the epidemiology of hepatitis B and C and opportunities for a viral hepatitis treatment programme.

I trained in Edinburgh and Cambridge, and have previously worked as a medical officer in rural Kenya. I was an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow between 2013-15 studying HIV and hepatitis B co-infection in Ghana, and from 2015-2019 I was a Wellcome Clinical PhD Fellow in Liverpool and Malawi.

My interests are in epidemiology, virology and implementation research. My research focus is on ending viral hepatitis as a public health threat in Africa, with a particular focus on Malawi.
