    About

    Personal Statement

Roz has 26 years’ experience in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and has been head of the highly-respected CDSS Bioanalytical Facility for 7 years. She has expertise in labelled (iTRAQ, TMT, SILAC) and label-free (SWATH, DIA) global protein quantification, as well as absolute quantification of proteins and small molecules, providing an invaluable link between chemistry, biology and translational medicine. She is particularly renowned for her development of bespoke procedures for pre-clinical and clinical studies. The application of proteomics to the assessment of the functional phenotype of liver models of drug toxicity has been an especially productive area of research for Roz. She is hugely keen to cultivate the next generation of mass spectrometrists and has trained over 40 PhD students and innumerable post docs. She is a Director of the British Society for Proteome Research and in this role is helping to shape the future direction of the field.
