The overall aim of the PGCAP is to support and enhance the development of a rich and diverse learning and teaching culture at the University of Liverpool.
The programme is accredited by Advance HE and enables colleagues with substantive and significant teaching responsibilities to gain a teaching qualification and recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
The programme is made up of two modules:
- Developing Academic Practice x 40 credits focused on enabling participants to reflect on, evaluate and improve their knowledge, skills and values in relation to learning, teaching, assessment and curriculum
- Individual Investigation to Inform Innovation and Excellence x 20 credits designed to provide participants with choice to investigate a selected area of academic practice aligned with the University Education Strategy.
