Ivens Fellowships
We are pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for applications for appointment to the newly created Ivens Fellowships, named in honour of Dr Frances Ivens (1870-1944) the first female consultant in Liverpool.
There are up to four positions available, as clinical lecturer for up to four years, moving on to a consultant grade senior clinical fellow if a certificate of completion of training (CCT) is achieved within that time. There will be an automatic progression to a tenured clinical senior lecturer/consultant post after four years, subject to both a confirmation in appointment process and successful receipt of CCT.
The positions will be 50% academic and 50% clinical working in one of our partner trusts depending on area of clinical specialty.
These posts are targeted at future world class research leaders. Candidates should have evidence of their potential research excellence by successful grant awards and high-quality publications and should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification.
