Its six floors will be home to life science start-up businesses
who will share facilities (including modular chemical and
biological laboratories, write-up rooms, meeting and seminar
suites) and expertise, supported by a Proof of Concept
Laboratory and a dedicated Business Support and
Commercialisation Centre.
A broad range of small, medium and large industrial partners
are being sought to develop this space as part of a vibrant life
science commercialisation hub. The Centre will greatly benefit
from the seamless integration and physical co-localisation
between business, academic and health service institutions.
The Liverpool BioInnovation Centre will provide the central
focus for discovery-led innovation within the Liverpool City
Region; this pivotal new development will help to anchor the
growth of the Liverpool BioCampus alongside the new Royal
Liverpool University Hospital, built on public-private partnership
as the principal means to realise greater patient benefit.
