The ReO3 structure consists of a simple cubic array of Re6+ ions with O2- ions in the centre of each edge All of the Re 6+ ions are 6-coordinate and the O2- ions are 2-coordinate. The unit cell (shown on the right) contains 8x(1/8) Re6+ ions and 12x(1/4) O2- ions. |
