Mount Elbert (14,433 feet). The highest 14er but one of the
simpler ones. Owen was eight years old and did it quite easily (1993).
Mt Sneffels (14150 ft) is a bit tougher, and a more interesting
one. From the col near the summit there was a short
snow gully ascent followed by a minor rock scramble to a small and
very attractive top. This picture shows part of the SW ridge.
