A CRIMEAN HERO. On Wednesday last a fine young fellow, with an erect military appearance, walked into the shop of Mr. J. Ewins, hair-dresser, High-street, in this town. At almost the first glance Mrs. Ewins saw it was her son James, who had left Cardiff about 11 years ago as a soldier in the 48th Foot. He had been all through the Crimean war and also the Indian campaign, for both of which he has silver medals. Mr. Ewins has now left the army, and intends resting on his laurels. His return to his native town has gladdened the hearts of his parents, as well as a host of old friends.
