The William was a wooden flat built at Chester in 1811.

13ft breadth x 4.8ft depth in hold;
1 deck, 1 mast, flat rigged with standing
bowsprit, square sterned, carvel built.

Nephra, Flint, master marinenr.
It was carrying a cargo of stone which was lost near Hilbre
Island, River Dee, on rocks close to the life-boat house on 11 January 1853.
