Wooden sloop Susannah of Caernarfon, master Howell Thomas, capsized and sunk off Mostyn, 14-1-1827, crew took to own boat - but not seen afterwards.
[from Liverpool Mercury - Friday 19 January 1827]:
Melancholy Shipwreck. A vessel, supposed to be the sloop, Susannah, of
Carnarvon, Howell Thomas, master, was upset during the gale on
Sunday, off Mostyn, and it is feared, all on board perished. There
was no account of them yesterday. The crew were last seen in a boat,
leaving the sloop, by the Captain of a vessel that rode out the gale.
