A few miles north of Skerryvore (lighthouse on rocks west of Tiree) on route to Barra, I passed a group of basking sharks. This area is not visited much by boats since there are many rocky reefs around. There seemed to be at least 10 over a area 50 metres or so wide and they were mainly in close goups of 2 or 3. I was single handed on board, so my photos and video are poor - but at least it shows that this area is well populated. Info from Chris Michael: c.michael@liv.ac.uk
