The Honours Year in Environmental Science will be available for the first time in 2001/2002

The pre-requisites are ENVS111 and ENVS211 plus modules to the value of 3.0 points taken in each of Year 1 and Year 2 from an approved list of modules in any two of three pathway subject areas: Environmental Biology, Earth Sciences and Physical Geography. 

Students may elect to follow only the Environmental Biology pathway into the Honours School in which case they should have taken BIOL modules in each of Years 1 and 2 to the value of 6.0 points. 

For the Environmental Biology pathway: BIOL117, BIOL119, BIOL120, BIOL246 and BIOL247 are required modules (3.0 and 6.0 point options) plus BIOL113, BIOL115, BIOL118 and BIOL 243 (6.0 point option only), at a standard acceptable to the Director of the Honours School. 

For the Earth Sciences pathway: Students must take 3.0 points from ESGY104, ESGY105, ESGY107, ESGY109 (all 0.5 point modules), ESGP111, ESOC121, ESOC122, ESOC125, ESOC126, ESGY233, ESOC284 and either ESGP241 and /or ESGP242.

For the Physical Geography cognate area: GEOG101, GEOG111, GEOG112, GEOG231 and GEOG 232 are required modules plus any one from GEOG237, GEOG230 and GEOG238.

For the Honours modules BIOL308 and BIOL309 (Freshwater Fish and Fisheries I and II), either BIOL114 or BIOL253 is a prerequisite.
