Honours School admission requirements

It is School policy that as far as possible, within the limits imposed by accommodation and facilities, you will be offered a place in the Honours School of your first choice for which you are academically qualified.

During the Spring Term of Year 2, each of the Honours Schools will provide information about the Honours course, the details of course work and assessment procedures and how Honours Year Research Projects are offered and allocated. In addition, some information about Honours Schools in the School of Biological Sciences is available at A Guide to Honours Schools for Year 2 students

It is essential that you meet the Director of your intended Honours School before you leave at the end of Year 2. If you do not do so, you may lose your choice of some options in the Year 3 programme.

If your are required to re-sit examinations in order to pass Year 2, it is especially important that you see the Director of your intended Honours School to discuss your situation before leaving at the end of the Summer term.
