Liverpool Plus

Liverpool Plus is an exciting new student transition and support programme for widening participation students joining the University of Liverpool.

Taking part in Liverpool Plus will allow you build your community at the University, meeting other students and building and strengthening relationships with different teams across the University. It'll help you to make the most out of your University experience, by providing you priority access to opportunities like the Liverpool Advocate scheme, EQ+ or some widening participation scholarships. You'll be supported to explore everything that Liverpool has to offer, from study skills support with our colleagues at the Library, to studying abroad with our Global Opportunities team. 

You'll have dedicated points of contact in the Widening Participation team, who can signpost you in the right direction whatever your question

Liverpool Plus offers a comprehensive programme of activities, drop in support sessions and regular communication of opportunities and important information through a newsletter and WhatsApp Community. 

Can I join Liverpool Plus?

Students are able to self refer onto Liverpool Plus. To join Liverpool Plus, you should to fall into one of the below categories: 

• Have taken part in an outreach programme with the University of Liverpool prior to entry, including Liverpool Scholars, Realising Opportunities, Pathways to Law/Banking and Finance/Engineering or Disrupted Education
• Have taken part in a programme with an IntoUniversity Centre prior to entry
• Have received a contextual offer from the University of Liverpool 
• Fall into one of our priority groups, which include: care experienced students, Black students, estranged students, young adult carers, disabled students, asylum seekers, refugees, service children, Gypsy/Roma/Traveller students or students from postcodes where historically low levels of people progress to University.

How can I refer a student to Liverpool Plus?

If you are a staff member with a student who you think would benefit from the support Liverpool Plus offers, please contact us at liverpoolplus@liverpool.ac.uk to discuss. We will need the student to proactively opt in to the Liverpool Plus programme.
