Transition and Success Officer
I am the dedicated Transition and Success Officer in the Widening Participation and Outreach team, specialising in supporting Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) students. With over a decade of experience in widening participation, working across the full range of projects the team delivers, and experience in student transition and retention strategies, support services and event planning and co-ordination, I play a pivotal role in ensuring that BAME students transition smoothly into university life.
I also chair our Black Student Panel, providing Black students with the opportunity to feedback on their university experience. This student voice initiative provides valuable insight into this group of students and has enabled new initiatives to be rolled out in response to need, including the Black Student Guide to Liverpool, coming September 2024.
