Information for international students
If you’re joining us as an international student, make sure you’re prepared for coming to Liverpool with our pre-arrival activities. We also hold a range of events when you arrive on campus to help you settle in.
Before you arrive
Ensure that your visa and other documentation are in order. Find all the information you need about visas and immigration.
Join our Get Ready for Liverpool webinars. This series of live, interactive sessions provides useful content that will help you prepare for joining us in September. You can register to watch them live or on-demand.
We run a dedicated coach airport transfer service operating at Manchester International Airport (MAN) to help you make your way to campus. Visit our meet and greet webpage for more information. You should have received an email with a link to book on to the service, but you can contact meetandgreet@liverpool.ac.uk if you have any questions about the service and booking your place.
On your arrival
Once you arrive in Liverpool, you will need to complete your International Registration on campus. We’ll send you an email with more information about this in early September, which will include a link to book a slot to meet with our teams.
For students arriving early, we’ll be hosting an early Welcome day on campus on Friday 13 September. Head to the Central Teaching Labs, which you can find at grid point F6 on the University campus map (PDF), between 9am-4pm on the day to be able to:
- Complete your international registration
- Sort out any IT and Liverpool Life queries at our helpdesks
- Explore campus through our student led campus tours
- Meet the teams who will support you during your time at Liverpool
- Grab lunch with our student ambassadors in the Liverpool Guild of Students.
After you arrive - Welcome Week
During Welcome Week (Monday 16 to Friday 20 September), our International Advice and Guidance Team (IAG) host ‘Hello International!’ Hi!; a series of events specifically for international students. Sessions will help you find out more about the support and opportunities available to you as an international student, and learn more on key topics such as budgeting, working during your studies and English language skills.
ll Welcome Week activities will help you to settle in quickly and feel at home in Liverpool, meet new friends and ensure you make the most of your time here and enjoy your Liverpool student experience.
