Staff are invited to join the University of Liverpool's former Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Lord Trees, when he delivers the inaugural Professor Barrie Edwards Memorial Lecture this Friday.

In his talk, Lord Trees will offer a unique insight into the House of Lords, his journey to becoming a life peer, the challenges and opportunities currently facing the veterinary profession, and, as only the second veterinary surgeon to become a member of the House of Lords, how his role as a vet contributes to the work of the House.

The lecture, entitled A Peer Review: A Vet's Life in the Lords, forms part of the Veterinary Alumni Reunion Weekend being held on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September at the Leahurst campus.  Prior to the talk at 2pm there will be 'Research Round-up' talks, where guests can hear the latest veterinary research currently taking place at the University.

Lord Trees’ lecture will commence at 3pm on Friday, 8 September and will be held in the Main Lecture theatre at the Leahurst campus. If you would like to attend, please email: alumni@liverpool.ac.uk.
