Language options
At the University of Liverpool, we want our students to graduate as highly employable global citizens. Studying a language is a great way to develop your cultural awareness and opens up a range of career opportunities in a globalised economy.
We have eight languages and a range of study options to choose from:
- French, German, Hispanic Studies and Italian Studies can be studied as Single Honours degrees or as part of a joint programme.
- Chinese can be studied at 50% alongside another Humanities and Social Sciences subject, including another language.
- Catalan, Chinese, French, German, Italian Studies, Portuguese, and Spanish can be studied at 25% alongside another Humanities and Social Sciences subject, including another language.
Select your preferred major below to see which languages it can be combined with. 50/50 language options can be found on the joint options page.
