Identify your skills gaps, and try to fill them - Nachi
Nachi is now working as a Product Manager for BlackRock.
I realised during a first year module on CVs that I needed to take action to build skills and be able to evidence them, so I started applying for internships and work experience. I took on an internship over the summer - my first ever 9 to 5.
I learned a lot about myself was able to demonstrate communication skills and commitment. From here on, I started to be successful at applying for opportunities, and with each opportunity, my skill set improved.
I developed skills of networking, self-reflection, teamwork, problem solving, working with people at all levels, as well as planning, organising and time management. I also learned the ability to appear self-confident even when I’m not, and how to adapt to different working styles and cultures.
