Summary

Outside the University, I was elected a Trustee and Director of the Physiological Society in 2011 (5 years). I have also served as a Trustee on the Oxford Hospitals Charity. I was a member of the Finance Committee at Linacre College, Oxford and a member of Governing body. In my previous department at the University of Oxford, I sat on the: Athena Swan Committee, Advisory Board Member and Departmental Strategy Committee. As a trustee in the past, I was called to represent the Society at International meetings; I represented the Society at the International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS). I also attended meetings in my Trustee capacity with Minister’s of Parliament to discuss science policy and funding. As a fellow of the Royal Society and Winston Churchill Fellow, I have attended several scientific events including meetings with Royal members at Buckingham Palace and Houses of Parliament to raise the profile of young scientists and research. My background in business administration and finance allows me to make a positive contribution to administration, management and delivery of academic programs and research in academia.
