Why are we contacting you?
Targeted Lung Health Checks are being offered to people identified by their GPs as aged from 55 to 74, who smoke or used to smoke.
You have been previously contacted and our records show you have taken part.
We very much hope you will also take part in our University of Liverpool P4-LHC research study.
If you want to take part in the P4-LHC research at the University of Liverpool, then please complete the paper consent form we posted to you and send it to us with a sample of your pee (urine). Easy to use instructions are provided.

Why should I participate in the study?
Taking part in this research will help us to develop new ways to find lung disease, that may help you and your community in the future.
Will my NHS care be affected?
No. Whether or not you take part your other medical care will not be affected and all your data will remain confidential.
The P4-LHC method is still being developed, but your sample will help us develop better methods for detecting disease.
