Our progress
We are committed to promoting Fairtrade principles and fostering a culture of ethical consumption within our community.
Through collaboration, events, and awareness campaigns, we continue to drive change and engage students and staff in making sustainable choices related to Fairtrade.
Here are some of the key milestones we have achieved on our Fairtrade journey so far:
- Established a Fairtrade Working Partnership with our Guild of Students to drive forward activity related to Fairtrade
- Engaged over 240 staff and students at our annual Sustainability Fair where we showcased ethical consumption, Fairtrade products and sustainable food options
- Held a Fairtrade Coffee Tasting event at the Guild with 25 attendees to celebrate World Coffee Day
- Posted multiple Fairtrade campaigns on our LinkedIn and Instagram
- Published an article on Fairtrade Food on our Halls Life website
Our Fairtrade SMART Action Plan outlines our goals and ongoing effort, as we continue to strengthen our commitment to Fairtrade and sustainability on campus.
