Biodiversity
Learn about our grounds and some of the projects that contribute to our biodiversity. Discover how you can help to protect and preserve the biodiversity at the University.
The University of Liverpool grounds support a wide variety of habitats. Our ecological diversity includes: built urban environments, amenity land, woodlands, pastures, agricultural land, formally landscaped grounds and a botanic garden. Protecting these places conserves existing ecological and biodiversity resources on campus.
The goal of our Biodiversity Action Group is to be a species and habitat-rich campus. They help biodiversity thrive by improving the quality and management of our green spaces.
