As part of the University’s commitment to embedding sustainability into every aspect of its operations, we are committed to reporting our performance and measuring the effect of what we do, to gauge the success of our Sustainability Strategy. Our performance is monitored internally through our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and also through external bodies.

Sustainable Development Goals Annual Report

Our annual report provides a review of our performance over the previous academic year, and our progress towards achieving the aims and objectives set out in our environmental policy, sustainability policy, sustainability strategy and climate plan. It is published each year retrospectively during semester three of the academic year once relevant data has been published by HESA.

We are classed as leading the way on committing to and delivering ambitious carbon reduction targets to tackle the climate emergency by SOS-UK, a student-led education charity focusing on sustainability.

We are ranked in the top 100 institutions worldwide in the The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2024.
