Climate plan
Here you will find our publically available Climate plan. This plan sets out our ambitions, principles and commitments to address the climate crisis and outlines how we are working to achieve net zero by 2035.
With key activities already underway, the Climate plan will help us transition to net zero at pace and with real impact. Our Energy Services Team monitors energy and carbon across the entire University in support of our net zero Carbon targets, which are laid out in our Sustainability Strategy 2031 and Liverpool 2031.
Our Director of Finance and Chair of the University’s Sustainability Board, Nicola Davies, comments:
“The University of Liverpool is committed to building a more sustainable world for our staff, students, and the whole of society. We believe through being responsible custodians of our estate, leveraging our world-class research output and harnessing the enthusiasm of our staff and students, we will ensure the University is net zero carbon by 2035 at the latest, and meet our wider sustainability ambitions too. The launch of the Climate Plan marks an important step toward achieving our goals and sets out how our whole community can play their part in securing the future of our planet.”
