Foundation programmes
If you do not meet the standard entry requirements for a degree, you may be able to gain entry by completing a Foundation element.
The University offers Foundation elements for the following undergraduate degrees:
- Biological Sciences
- Chemical Sciences
- Computer Science
- Earth Sciences
- Engineering
- Geography
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Psychology.
These Foundation elements are usually run in conjunction with our partner colleges in the Merseyside region:

Foundation to Human and Animal Health Professions (Veterinary Science)
The Year 0 Foundation Programme acts as a pathway to degrees in the Health Sciences and is offered in collaboration with Carmel College, St Helens.
