University of Liverpool Graduate Association Hong Kong and Tung Undergraduate Scholarships
The University of Liverpool Graduate Association (Hong Kong) scholarships are designed to promote educational exchange and academic research respectively, between the University of Liverpool and residents of Hong Kong. The Tung Foundation, founded by the late CY Tung, father of Liverpool graduates, CH Tung (BEng Hons Marine Engineering 1960, Hon LLD 1997) and CC Tung (BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering 1964, Hon LLD 2009), supports social, cultural and educational causes.
Awards
- University of Liverpool Graduate Association Hong Kong Undergraduate Scholarship - The University of Liverpool Graduate Association Hong Kong undergraduate scholarships are worth £10,000 per year for three years and are awarded to students originating from Hong Kong only who can prove academic excellence and have a formal offer to pursue full-time studies at the University of Liverpool campus. Applicants must be starting their first year in September 2025. Current students are not accepted.
- The Tung Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship - The Tung Foundation undergraduate scholarship is worth £10,000 per year for three years and is awarded annually to students from Hong Kong only who can prove academic excellence and have been admitted to pursue full-time studies at the University of Liverpool campus. Applicants must be starting their first year in September 2025. Current students are not accepted.
- Only one application is required for both of the above awards.
Eligibility
The undergraduate scholarships are awarded to academically outstanding students originating from Hong Kong only, who have been admitted to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at the main University of Liverpool campus, leading to a bachelor degree in their chosen fields. Please note that the scholarship is awarded for three years only, even for those courses which last longer.
Successful candidates will be awarded a scholarship to cover partial payment of the tuition fee or living expenses. The scholarship may or may not be held concurrently with any other scholarships or bursaries at the discretion of the Award Committee and must be declared on the application form. Those already in recipient of China Scholarship Council funding are not eligible. No payments are made until the successful applicant has registered on campus.

Applications are now open. They will close at midnight on 30 April 2025.
Candidates should provide all applicable listed documentation below, including the scholarship application form completed in full. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants are required to submit all of the following documents to giving@liverpool.ac.uk.
- Completed undergraduate scholarship application form (Word, 55KB)
- Acceptance letter from the University of Liverpool
- Relevant certificates and transcripts (record sheets of your marks or grades)
- Academic CV.
