Our Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Course offers generous tuition fee discounts to eligible new international students joining one of 30+ selected master's courses in the academic year 2025/26.
Award
If you're a new international student, who hasn't studied with us before, you could be eligible for a tuition fee discount of £5,000, depending on your choice of course.
If you combine this tuition fee discount with other scholarships or bursaries, the total discount will be capped at 50% of your tuition fee.

Eligibility criteria
To receive this scholarship, you'll need to:
- Be joining an eligible master's course, including MRes programmes, from September 2025
- Be studying on campus in Liverpool
- Be paying the tuition fees for the course yourself at the international rate
- Accept your offer of a place and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline indicated in your offer letter.
We won't be able to offer you this scholarship if you:
- Studied at University of Liverpool International College, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), or completed your undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool. If you've studied with us before, including as a Study Abroad, Exchange or XJTLU student, you could be eligible to receive a tuition fee discount through our University of Liverpool Graduate Loyalty Advancement Scholarship
- Will be studying online
- Are having your fees paid by a sponsor, such as a government, commercial organisation or employer, on your behalf
- Are joining a PGCert, Professional Doctorate (including DDSc awards), MPhil, MArch or PhD, or any master's course that isn't listed above.
If you've applied for or intend to study part time, any tuition fee discount you're eligible to receive will be applied at a pro-rata rate over the duration of your course. For example, if you intend to study over two years, you'll receive 50% of the tuition fee discount in each year.
How to apply
No application is necessary. The Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Course will be awarded to all eligible students who meet the criteria.
This award has no exchangeable cash value. We reserve the right to withdraw the scholarship at any time, including if programme capacities are reached.
