Non-medical help (NMH) support
Our preferred Non-medical helper provider is Barry Bennett Ltd.
We also work with Deaf Student Solutions to support students requiring BSL interpreters.

£200 Laptop contribution
If a student is unable to afford the Disabled Student Allowances' £200 contribution towards a laptop students may be eligible for funding from the University of Liverpool's hardship fund.
Microsoft Office suite
All students are entitled to install the latest version of the Microsoft Office suite on up to five personal devices for free at the University of Liverpool. The licence will last for as long as the student is a member of the University.
To obtain a copy of Microsoft Office, students will need to log in at office.com using their University credentials (in the format username@liverpool.ac.uk). This will provide access to download and install the latest version of the Office suite, plus Office for iPad, iPhone or Android.
Assistive software
A range of assistive software is available for all registered students to access on campus. We also have an experienced assistive technology specialist who can provide one-to-one training sessions in the software.
Lecture Capture
The University of Liverpool provide lecture capture facilities in most lecture theatres.
