Rebecca Lewis

I am a NERC DTP-CASE student at the University of Manchester in association with Chester Zoo. My research focuses on the evolution of birdsong during ex situ breeding to see if this could act as a barrier for future conservation efforts. My work uses the Java sparrow, which is common in zoological collections, as a model species.  Prior to starting my PhD, I have worked with a range of species in UK zoological collections.
