Study spaces on campus
Our campus is the perfect place to study. As well as offering plenty of great facilities in our lecture halls and seminar rooms, we have lots of well-equipped and comfortable spaces for independent learning away from the classroom. If you want to work on an essay, meet with friends for a group project, or revise for exams, we’ve got you covered.
Library study spaces
Where better to study than in one of our libraries? They’re quiet, geared for learning and full of materials and technology that make learning that bit easier.
Both the Harold Cohen and Sydney Jones libraries have lots of study spaces to choose from, including group spaces and tables, or individual soundproof pods. Many of which you can book in advance to make sure you have a space to work in ahead of time – ideal if you need somewhere to work on a group project.
Both libraries offer 24-hour access during term time.
The libraries both have walk-in study spaces available, but we advise booking to ensure you get a space. In each library, you can book a maximum of 2 hours per day for individual study spaces, and up to 4 hours per day for group study spaces. Book a study space in the library.
If you need further assistance, find help with booking a study space.
If you have a student support information sheet, you can book accessible study spaces in the Sydney Jones and Harold Cohen libraries. Find out more about booking an accessible study space.
Alternative study spaces
If you don’t want to work in the library, we have lots of alternative study spaces across campus so you can find the perfect place to learn, wherever on campus you happen to be. You typically don’t have to book these spaces, so there’s a bit more flexibility if you’re just looking for somewhere to work between classes. Come along by yourself or with a group and get to work on your projects.
You can find these study spaces at:
