Your exam schedule/Timetable

The Exam Timetable for taught students will be available to view in the Personal Examination Timetable - My Liverpool from 12 noon on Thursday 5 December 2024.

It is your responsibility to log in and check your timetable – it will not be emailed separately to you.

During your exam

While you are in your exam there are rules and regulations that must be followed.

If you arrive late, you will not be allowed extra time. If you believe that there is a good reason why you are late, you should submit an extenuating circumstances form. See Extenuating circumstances for more information.

Do

  • Attend all exams unless prevented by illness or other extenuating circumstances
  • Arrive at the exam room at least 15 minutes before the exam is due to start in order to hear announcements
  • Enter an exam room in silence and put any bags and coats in the designated bag zone
  • Switch off mobile phones, smart watches, or similar electronic data storage or communication devices (If the exam is an online exam (i.e. Canvas) then students are permitted to use their phone to log in through the Duo Factor Authentication so they are permitted to bring their phone to their desk), and/then either leave it:
    • in the designated bag zone in the exam room or
    • place it in a clear plastic bag under your seat before the start of the examination
  • Put your student ID card or other photo identification on your exam desk
  • Place any pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, pencil sharpeners and permitted technical drawing equipment in a clear plastic bag
  • Follow the instructions given by the invigilator
  • Write your answers legibly.

Do not

  • Enter an exam room more than 30 minutes after the start of an exam
  • Leave an exam less than 30 minutes before the end
  • Have any unauthorised material with you at your exam desk or on you while under examination conditions, including books, manuscripts, calculator cases, mobile phone or any other electronic data storage device
  • Take into an exam room any blank or scrap paper. All rough work must be done in the exam booklets provided
  • Bring in any pencil cases or pencil boxes
  • Disturb other candidates 
  • Communicate with any other candidate in an exam room or pass a calculator to any other candidate during an exam
  • Impersonate another exam candidate or allow yourself to be impersonated 
  • Leave the exam room until your exam answer book has been collected
  • Take out of the exam room any other item provided unless allowed. 

Leaving the exam room

If you are taken ill during an examination and wish to leave the room, temporarily or permanently, please inform an invigilator.
