Taekwon-Do
Welcome to the University Taekwon-Do team
We are a friendly club, anyone can join. It doesn’t matter if you have no experience or what your fitness level is. We are all here to learn and improve and throw some (sick) kicks. In the previous years, we have had a wide range of people join us, so it doesn’t matter if you have zero flexibility or are already a black belt.
Competitive
Our team practises Global Taekwon-Do Federation (GTF) Taekwon-Do, but we have had members from other federations train with us. We also compete against other Universities through the BUTL league.
We offer opportunities to grade several times a year allowing you to progress during your time at the University. Grading tests your understanding of Taekwon-Do and your skill in various aspects of the art.
Training times
The club train twice a week in the downstairs sports hall at the Sports and Fitness Centre:
Day | Time |
---|---|
Monday | 7.00-8.30pm |
Saturday | 1.00-3.00pm |
Social events
We are a small but social club! After training, we like to head over to the pub for some well-earned drinks. We also have regular socials catering to a wide range of interests.
