Welcome to the University Table tennis team
The University of Liverpool Table tennis club is a friendly and inclusive sports team that aims to promote excellence, fitness, team building, and community spirit. An established club, we are made up of players of all abilities and a wide range of international backgrounds. Whether you want to play at a high and competitive level or just for fun - we offer the environment and opportunity for both!
Competitive
We have 6 teams competing in the BUCS leagues and various cup competitions such as Varsity and the Christie Cup. The teams are split into three with the men's team competing as high as the 1st division. Our women have historically been extremely successful in winning the prestigious Northern Conference Cup. Both teams will now play in the 1st Division.
The 2023/24 season begins in October, our top-ranked players have the opportunity to play in the BUCS National competition.
We also host the University of Liverpool table tennis open competition in March 2024.
Social sport
We have greatly expanded our social program with a wide variety of biweekly events, we pride ourselves on being a diverse club providing an opportunity to experience other cultures, and make international friends for life. The committee is always looking for input and suggestions on how to make the club experience better, so you can be sure your voice will be listened to if you have something to say.
