Skydiving
Welcome to the University of Liverpool Skydiving club!
With the University of Liverpool Skydiving club you can learn how to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Or if you’re already in the sport, you’ll have the opportunity to meet a group of like-minded skydivers to jump and socialise with.
Competitive
We have a wide variety of skill levels, however, you don't need any experience to join; everyone has to start somewhere. For our new members, this is normally a Ram Air Progression System (RAPS) course, wherewith training from the fantastic instructors at Skydive Northwest. You’ll learn how to open your own parachute, how to land safely, and some fun tricks to try in free fall.
We also organise regular trips to the wind tunnel in Manchester to further perfect your free-fall skills, without having to wait around for the good weather.
For the competitive aspects, skydiving has its very own national student body for competition – British University Skydiving (BUS). It brings together skydivers from universities all across the country to compete and socialise together.
Social events
Join us for regular socials in Liverpool, good times at the drop zone, and the opportunity to meet skydivers from all over the country. We have a strong relationship with both Manchester and Edinburgh University skydiving clubs, who join us at Skydive Northwest.
