Men's Rugby League
Welcome to the University Men's Rugby League team
The University of Liverpool Rugby League team pride ourselves on a work hard, play hard mentality. As a close nitted group we work together in training and games to achieve the best possible results, before our weekly socials which are always well-attended and a highlight of many peoples University experience.
Our team consists of players with Rugby league experience, Rugby Union players looking for a new challenge and also those who are new to the sport and want to try something new. Whatever your level, we will accommodate.
Competitive
The team currently competes in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Norther League 1, playing and competing with some top teams in the second highest league in University Rugby League. This team is a very competitive outfit that focuses on achieving great results.
Training times
Training takes place at Wyncote Sports Ground with fixtures taking place on a Wednesday.
Monday - 5.30 - 7.30pm
Tuesday - 8.30 - 9.30pm
Social events
The social side of the team is also very popular within the group; with our social secretary working hard to put on weekly Wednesday nights out, monthly AU nights attended by other teams, the Super League grand final, horse races, tour, charity events, and much more you will be sure to have a great time with the University of Liverpool Rugby League team.

The Athletic Union
The Athletic Union (AU) is a student lead union founded in 1884. The AU consists of competitive sports clubs representing the University in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). The AU also provides opportunities for social sports with over 132 teams across three sports.
Being an AU member is a great way to stay active, develop management and leadership skills and meet people.

The initial cost of the AU membership is £60 and this will allow you to join one club. If you wish to join multiple clubs, the cost for each club is £24 thereafter.
